In this training you will learn:

To master the MDT 2010 / ConfigMgr 2007 OSD features and resolve Windows 7 Deployment Challenges. Create reference images of Windows 7 using MDT 2010 Lite touch and deploy them in production using ConfigMgr 2007 OSD. You will also learn about the benefits of integrating MDT 2010 Zero Touch with ConfigMgr 2007 OSD.

The major part of the training is about automating and customizing Deployment of Windows 7 using MDT 2010 Zero Touch and SCCM 2007 SP2 R3. You will learn how to integrate with WDS (PXE) and use the Unknown Computer support. You will learn how to Create and configure Task Sequences, assign applications, work with drivers, create packages and configuring settings (rules). You will also learn how to do troubleshooting and advanced diagnostics/logging in ConfigMgr 2007 OSD.

For the Refresh and Replace computer scenarios, you will learn how to customize USMT 4.0 for user state and data migration. How to create custom USMT templates and configure the other USMT settings.

In the customizations and advanced customizations part of MDT 2010 Zero Touch, you will learn how to use variables, create custom scripts, frontends and web services. You will learn how to extend the MDT database with more columns, views and stored procedures.

In addition to the advanced troubleshooting you will also learn about the underlying Windows 7 setup components, including using Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM), customizing Windows PE 3.0, adding components, and drivers, etc.

Prerequisites
Windows deployment experience, sysprep, imaging, scripted setups, and drivers. Basic understanding of Active Directory, and Software Distribution using SCCM 2007.
