Welcome to the first Windows 7 Deployment training where you pick the track to follow during the four days!
The primary track is using MDT2012 and ConfigMgr 2012 to deploy operating systems, applications, and software updates. The second, optional track, is how to build a deployment solution based on MDT 2012 Lite Touch. We simply wanted to give you the best possible windows deployment training, no matter if you plan to use ConfigMgr 2012 or not. The lab is developed by Johan Arwidmark, Microsoft MVP’s in Deployment and among the absolute foremost in the OS Deployment sector.
During these four days you will learn how to

· Upgrade from ConfigMgr 2007
· Upgrade from MDT 2010 to MDT 2012
· Create and deploy applications
· Configuring Software Updates
· Create and design reference images
· Create VB script wrappers for configuration items and applications
· Configure Security baselines for the Windows 7 image
· Master the driver injection features for os deployment
· Integrate MDT 2012 with ConfigMgr 2012
· Extend OS deployment in ConfigMgr 2012, with scripts, frontends, databases and web services.

Time is always set off for your real life deployment issues where the instructor will discuss and solve problems that you bring to the training. Almost like free consultancy.......
Day one
Day starts with MDT 2012 and ConfigMgr 2012 new features and infrastructure changes. What you need to know for planning and designing, as well as for upgrading from MTD 2010 and Configmgr 2007.
You learn to create great reference images, and when to includes applications like Office, agents and settings.
This day is dedicated for the base foundation. You also learn about preparing for os deployment, and the various tools and techniques involved: PXE, DHCP, Network, Active Directory, Group Policy, MAP, ACT, Security Compliance Manager and some of the IPD documents.
Day 1 is also when you build the lab and test environment, from scratch to finish.
Day two
Deployment time, creating and configuring applications, software updates and deploying windows operating systems.
We will cover the deliverance of the image using either ConfigMgr 2012 or MDT 2012 Lite Touch. We will cover both methods, but you will pick one of the tracks for your labs.
So some will deploy using Lite Touch and some will deploy using ConfigMgr 2012. This day will also cover drivers and troubleshooting the various deployments.
Day three
Migration time, new scenarios, computer refresh and computer replace, including customizing USMT.
We also cover additional troubleshooting, log files, hardware issues and more.
During day 3 we also start advanced customizations of the MDT 2012 and ConfigMgr 2012 environment.
Day four
Advanced customizations, continued.
A deep dive into extending MDT 2012 and ConfigMgr 2012 with web services, frontends, user exit scripts and databases.
The last day is also explaining the Windows 7 setup in-depth, including a sneak preview into the ADK and Windows 8 deployments. The grand finale is a full “smorgasbord” of hands-on-labs, where you do as many as you want…
