Oscar, Detection Engineering Lead, heads the Detection Engineering team at Truesec, where he is responsible for shaping and evolving the detection strategy across all MDR services. With a deep technical background and hands-on experience, he leads the development of advanced detection capabilities tailored to combat today’s most sophisticated threats.

Oscar has worked extensively across the detection landscape, spanning endpoint, network, and cloud environments. Drawing from his previous role as a senior analyst, he has investigated numerous ransomware operations and state-sponsored threat actors. These insights have directly contributed to the creation of highly effective, proprietary detection rules used in real-world environments.

When not actively engaged in detection design, Oscar focuses on staying ahead of the threat landscape through research and development, ensuring Truesec remains at the forefront of modern cyber defense.
