Secure Boot: Your First Line of Defense Is About to Expire

Secure Boot is one of the most fundamental, yet most misunderstood, security mechanisms in modern computing. As we approach a major certificate expiration, organizations face a critical situation: update correctly, or risk knocking out devices, virtual machines, and business-critical workloads.

In this session, we take an in-depth look at what Secure Boot actually protects against, why modern platforms and security solutions increasingly require it, and what happens when the certificate chain behind Secure Boot starts to become outdated. You will learn how to identify the upcoming certificate change that affects Windows and virtualization platforms, what problems can arise when certificates are updated but not applied, and how to avoid operational disruptions during the transition.
